The Department of Classics and Archaeology at the University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Greek and Roman Art (Teaching and Learning focus). You will have a PhD in an appropriate subject, ability to teach Greek and Roman Art/Visual Culture at all levels, and a strong commitment to the Department. You should be able to teach in the area of Greek and Roman visual culture including the delivery of an option module on Otherness in Ancient Art. The role has been created through the secondment of Dr Tiziana D'Angelo as Director of the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia until 2026 and part of the role involves liaising with Dr D'Angelo to develop teaching and learning opportunities for Nottingham students in the context of the Archaeological Park.

As a Teaching Associate you will be expected to:
* deliver innovative teaching and curriculum design
* provide curriculum leadership within your area
* contribute positively and proactively to the Department's teaching culture
* supervise and examine Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
* support tutorial groups, developing their knowledge and learning skills
* take a proactive role in the pastoral support of students, dealing with sensitive issues
* be responsible for administrative duties
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract, commencing in September 2022 until 30 June 2026. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
