Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher of Christian and Medieval archaeology capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
Teaching commitment: teaching in Bachelor degrees, Master degrees, Ph.D. (90 hours) and students tutoring. The researcher will conduct these courses:
* Medieval archaeology;
* Late Medieval archaeology;
* Laboratory activity.
Research commitment: The candidate must have general skills related to the field of Medieval archaeology. Specifically, knowledge and skills related to the problems of Medieval archaeology in the Italian context and in particular in the Venetian lagoon are required, with a particular focus on the study and contextualization of material culture according to the most advanced theoretical approaches.
The position will be hosted at the Department of Humanities<https://www.unive.it/pag/27720/>, a centre for the development of innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to history, literature, classics, archaeology, art and anthropology. In the Department of Humanities, Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows and ERC awardees work together with the permanent faculty, creating a vibrant academic environment.
