Description
The Department of Classics at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in Greek Poetry, to begin on July 1, 2024.
We welcome applications from candidates who will complement existing departmental strengths, contribute to the intellectual life of the Department and the University, and exhibit interdisciplinary interests broadly conceived. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent at the time of hire.
Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Greek language and literature, and to offer courses in classical literature and culture in translation. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Other duties will include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and contributing to the administrative activities of the Department and University.
